We are the brains behind your AI
AI with scientific depth – consulting and delivery from a single source.
Who we are
Founded in 2012 by Stefanie and Rafael Supper. We have been solving data problems for more than a decade – with experience that reaches beyond the current AI hype.
Supper & Supper began as a conventional consultancy. From that period comes an experience that still shapes us: we implemented systems for project and portfolio management, controlling and resource management in the R&D of internationally active companies and corporations. Not only the software but also the processes behind it.
Those implementations are no longer part of what we offer. What remains is more valuable: we know decision-making in research portfolios from the inside. Not as observers but because we configured it – which data has to be in place at a gate, and where such processes fail in practice.

Scientific depth
Our team brings together data scientists with doctorates, physicists, statisticians, chemists, biologists, economists, agricultural scientists and engineers.
That breadth is no accident. Real data problems are rarely purely technical – they sit inside a scientific domain, and whoever understands the domain builds better models.
In practice that means: we test whether a method actually works instead of asserting it. And we do not look only at the average – a model that scores well on average can be systematically wrong for particular cases. That is where the errors arise that become expensive later.
What we deliver
From the first question through to running operations – the whole chain from a single source.
Data Consulting clarifies the question and the data situation. The Data Lab builds prototypes on real data. Data Operations takes them into production. Data Infrastructure builds the architecture beneath.
The transition from prototype to operation is where most AI initiatives stall. We treat it as part of the project, not as a follow-on topic. And where our own products make sense, they emerge: a research project became Pointly, a platform for the classification of 3D point clouds – spun out as a company of its own in 2021 and today our sister company.
Experience
We build applications that go into service and stay there – several of them are used by thousands of people.
Among them are Bayer Crop Science's residue management platform ResiYou, a platform predicting fungal diseases in viticulture, and Pointly for the classification of 3D point clouds – built by us and operated today by our sister company.
On some platforms we work across seasons and releases rather than within one project. Keeping a system dependable over years, while data, requirements and rules change, is a different discipline from building one – and one that cannot be claimed, only demonstrated. Large international companies have worked with us repeatedly over years.
Our use cases show the timeline from 2017: from yield forecasts across 20,000 locations to production platforms and regulatory data work.
Regulatory experience
We work where results have to be evidenced – regulatory report generation, master data in registration work, environmental assessment based on recognised models.
GxP requirements do not apply in early research; there we work independently and fast. Where an application touches regulated processes, we supply the documentation your validation function requires – system validation itself stays with you. We are not a validated GxP provider and do not present ourselves as one.
For the requirements of the EU AI Act we offer the AI Compliance Check.
Your data
Certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022. Processing in Germany and the EU. We do not use your data to train our own models.
Certified by TÜV Rheinland, reg. no. 01 153 2300149. The scope covers the development of solutions in machine learning, artificial intelligence, process optimisation and digital transformation. Your procurement and IT security teams receive the certificate, the statement of applicability and the documentation of our technical and organisational measures on request.
Processing is separated per client and used solely for your project. We conclude the data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR before the project starts, our measures under Art. 32 are documented, and we disclose our sub-processors in full. Results, models and code transfer to you contractually.
Our path
- 2012
Founded
Stefanie and Rafael Supper start Supper & Supper, initially as a consultancy.
- 2014
Supper & Supper GmbH
The partnership becomes a limited company.
- from 2012
Project and portfolio management
Systems for project and portfolio management, controlling and resource management in research and development – for international crop science companies and a European air navigation service provider.
- 2017
First documented AI projects
Yield forecasts for hybrid cereals across 20,000 locations – the start of our publicly documented project series.
- 2021
Pointly
A research project becomes a SaaS platform for the classification of 3D point clouds. It is spun out as Pointly GmbH – today our sister company.
- 2023
ISO 27001
First certification of our information security management system.
- 2024
Sibiu
We open a development centre in Romania, closely integrated with the team in Germany.
Locations
Berlin and Sibiu. Both within the EU.
Berlin is our home. Since 2024 a development centre in Sibiu, Romania, has complemented the team. Developers there work closely with the specialists with doctorates in Germany – combining delivery pace with scientific rigour.

Let's talk about your project
We start with an appraisal of your data situation, not with a proposal – and we will tell you when an approach will not hold.
